1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and 2 Step Bhangra Dance Academy Inc., operating as Two Step Bhangra Academy ("the academy", "we", "us"). By registering a dancer, booking a performance, renting items or using our studio, you agree to these terms. If you register a dancer under 18, you agree on their behalf as their parent or guardian.
2. Registration & trial class
- New dancers can book a trial class before registering.
- A dancer is registered once the registration form is complete and the first month's fee is paid.
- Class placement (age group, level and studio) is at the academy's discretion.
3. Fees & payment
- Current class and private lesson fees are provided at registration.
- Monthly fees must be paid at the first class of each month.
- A late fee applies if fees are not paid within the first week of the month.
- All prices and fees are subject to applicable HST.
4. Uniform & merchandise
- Every dancer is required to purchase a Two Step Bhangra T-shirt as part of the uniform.
- Hoodies are available, with or without back print.
- Merchandise sales are final once worn.
5. Performances & private classes
- Bhangra event performances are booked in teams of 2, 4 or 6 dancers and quoted per booking.
- A booking is confirmed once the academy confirms the date in writing. Deposit details are provided at booking.
- Travel fees may apply for events outside the GTA.
6. Vardi & prop rentals
- Khunda, chimta, matak and kato: $20 for 1 day or $30 for 2 days. Late returns are charged $5 per item, per day.
- Vardi: $50 for 1 day or $50 for 2 days. Late returns are charged $10 per day.
- Shikka is available to buy.
- Items must be returned clean and in the condition they were rented. You are responsible for loss or damage, charged at repair or replacement cost.
7. Studio rules
- Parents are not permitted in the dance room during class or practice.
- Dancers must treat instructors, classmates and the studio with respect. The academy may remove a dancer from class or the program for unsafe or disrespectful behaviour.
- Dancers should arrive on time, in uniform, with water and suitable footwear.
8. Health, safety & risk
Dance and drumming are physical activities with a risk of injury. You confirm the dancer is fit to take part and will tell us about any medical condition that affects their participation. To the extent permitted by law, the academy is not liable for injury, loss or damage that is not caused by its negligence. The academy is not responsible for personal belongings left at the studio.
9. Photos & video
We film and photograph classes, competitions and performances and may share them on our website and social media, including Instagram @twostepbhangra. If you don't want a dancer to appear, tell us in writing and we will not post identifiable images of them.
10. Cancellations & refunds
- Monthly fees: [to confirm, for example non-refundable once the month has started].
- Classes cancelled by the academy will be rescheduled or credited.
- Performance booking cancellation terms are provided at booking.
11. Privacy
We collect names, contact details and dancer information only to run classes, bookings and rentals and to contact you. We don't sell your information.
12. Changes & governing law
We may update these terms and fees. We'll post changes on this page with a new date and let registered families know before new fees take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
